Our Process for Crafting Bespoke Jewellery.
-
1. Initial consultation
The journey to your bespoke engagement ring, eternity ring, or any fine jewellery piece begins with an idea. During the initial consultation, we establish your requirements and design must-haves, laying the foundation for a meaningful and treasured piece.
At this stage, you'll view existing pieces in our store, explore our selection of gemstones and diamonds, and sketch out initial ideas. This consultation is crucial, allowing us to understand your vision and preferences, ensuring your unique piece is crafted to perfection.
-
2. Specification & Quoting
During this stage, we meticulously prepare the pricing and specifications for your bespoke jewellery piece. We consider current prices for precious stones, white gold, yellow gold, platinum, or sterling silver, as well as the complexity of the design work required.
A deposit is collected at this point to confirm your commitment and allow us to dedicate our time and expertise to your jewellery journey. This step ensures that we meet your requirements and proceed in alignment with your vision.
-
3. Design
Our senior designers begin crafting your bespoke jewellery design, carefully ordering stones that match your brief and specifications. Once the design is ready, we can email you detailed images for approval. You may also view the selected stones in-store if desired.
Additionally, we can provide a 3D-printed model of your item, allowing you to see and approve your design in three dimensions.
-
4. Casting & Hallmarking
Our casting is completed by our trusted partner in the world-famous Jewellery Quarter. This process transforms 3D-printed wax models into precious metals. Hallmarking is done at our partner UK Assay Offices in London and Sheffield.
Our registered punches are stamped or lasered onto the inside of the ring, ensuring your metal's fineness and providing you with peace of mind.
-
5. Goldsmithing & Asssembly
Goldsmithing & assembly is the meticulous art of crafting fine jewellery from precious metals. This process involves shaping, soldering, and polishing gold to create stunning, high-quality pieces.
Our skilled goldsmiths combine traditional techniques with modern tools to ensure every item is not only beautiful but also durable. From initial design to final assembly, each piece is crafted with precision and care, resulting in exceptional jewellery that stands the test of time.
-
6. Setting, Polishing & Quality Control
Setting, polishing, and quality control are essential steps in creating exquisite jewelry. Our artisans expertly set each gemstone to ensure its security and brilliance. Following this, pieces are meticulously polished to achieve a flawless finish that enhances their beauty.
Finally, rigorous quality control checks are conducted to guarantee that every piece meets our high standards of craftsmanship and durability, ensuring you receive jewellery that is perfect in every detail.
